JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is a national level entrance examination conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to various engineering colleges in India. It is constituted by two different examinations. They are
1. JEE Main
2. JEE Advance
JEE provides the roadmap to get into premier engineering institutes in India like IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s, and other Centrally funded technical Institutes (CFTI’s). The counselling cum seat allotment process for all the IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s, and CFIT’s is organized and managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA).
This is a short duration, last minute course that is designed for the students who have passed Class XII and are focused on aggressive preparation for the JEE Main. The course focuses on development of concepts by means of rigorous practice which results in enhancement of analytical thinking and increasing the confidence level of JEE Main aspirant.
- 39 Weeks of course duration
- 450+ Lectures Sessions
- 700+ hours of classroom sessions
- 100+ additional hours of doubt solving
- 70+ hours of testing
- Rapid Crash Program (IIT-JEE MOMENTUM)
JEE Main consists of paper-1 and paper-2. The paper-1 is conducted for getting admission into Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/ Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses and paper-2 is conducted for getting admission into B.Arch or B.Planning. From January 2021, a separate paper for B.Planning has been introduced called paper-3. Students can appear for all the three papers, any two papers, or any one paper based on their interest and convenience. From 2019, JEE Main is being conducted twice a year, once in January and once in April. The candidate can appear either once or can write the exam both in January and April. In case if the candidate is appearing both times then the best score out of the two exams will be considered.
In order to be eligible for writing JEE Main examination, the students must fulfil all the conditions mentioned in the eligibility criteria released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
There is no age limit for appearing JEE Main examination
The students who have passed their class XII examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in the year 2019 or 2020 are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2021
The students who are appearing for class XII or any equivalent qualifying examination in the year 2021 are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2021
Students can attempt JEE Main exam in three consecutive years
The JEE Main exam will be conducted twice a year
So, students have an opportunity to attempt the exam 6 times
B.E/B.Tech: Students should have passed in the qualifying examination with at least 5 subjects in Class XII with Mathematics, Physics and any one subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subject.
B.Arch: Students should have passed in the qualifying examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
B.Plan: Students should have passed in the qualifying examination with mathematics as compulsory subject.
Students should have qualified with a minimum of 75 percent in the qualifying exam SC/ST candidates should have qualified with a minimum of 65 percent in the qualifying exam
The syllabus for B.E/B.Tech examination of JEE Main i.e the paper-1 consists of three parts. They are Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The detailed syllabus for JEE Main paper-1 is as follows
